Wedding Day Planner for your Special Day

 12 Months to the day

      1. Meet the Priest or Registrar and decide on a date.
      2. Select a location for your reception.
      3. Compile a guest list.
      4. Choose the bridesmaids, best man and ushers.
      5. Shop for wedding gown.
      6. Book photographer and video company.
      7. Decide a budget.
      8. Book the music (most are booked 12 months in advance).
      9. Book the Florist.

 6 Months to the day

      1. Order wedding stationary.
      2. Register with gift registry i.e. Brown Thomas, Debenhams.
      3. Pick a honeymoon destination: (renew passports & inoculations).
      4. Organise fittings for your gown and your bridesmaids’ dresses.
      5. Buy your going away clothes.
      6. Arrange wedding cars.

 3 Months to the day

      1. Buy wedding rings.
      2. Order wedding cake.
      3. Arrange transportation for the bridal party to & from ceremony/reception.
      4. Go over details of reception with hotel manager.
      5. If you are renting any equipment, reserve now. (Floral pillars etc.)

 2 Months to the day

      1. Inform Priest/Registrar of all the details of your ceremony.
      2. Keep a gift diary - send thank you notes as gifts arrive. (optional)
      3. Fine tune guest list.
      4. Select gifts for maid of honour and best man.
      5. Check all services.
      6. Final gown fitting.

 1 Month to the day

      1. Make room reservations for out of town guests.
      2. Check wedding party attire.
      3. Confirm music arrangements & check selections.
      4. Make reservations for bridesmaids' luncheon.
      5. Discuss rehearsal dinner with hosts.
      6. Attend showers.

 2 Weeks to the day

      1. Plan your wedding day hair style. (Bring headpiece & veil).
      2. Schedule hair appointment for day of wedding.
      3. Final check on bridal party clothing.
      4. Arrange for name & address change.
      5. Check with caterer / reception venue with last minute changes.

 1 Week to the day

      1. Remind rehearsal dinner guests of time / location. (optional)
      2. Start honeymoon packing/shopping.
      3. Wrap groom's & attendants' gifts.
      4. Schedule rehearsal for 1 - 2 days prior to wedding.
      5. Remind wedding party of exact time & place.
      6. Go over final details of ceremony & reception with all parties involved.
      7. Assign small jobs to family/friends. (Pick up guest book, cameras etc.)

 2 days to go

      1. Attend wedding rehearsal

 1 day to go

      - RELAX!
       Have manicure & pedicure done, Back massage

 Wedding Day

      1. Eat!
      2. Hair & make-up.
      3. Check wedding dress (pressing/steaming).
      4. Have family member check ceremony/reception for left behind items.
      5. Change of clothes. (If leaving for honeymoon).
      6. Breath! Enjoy your day.

 Helpful hints: Make an emergency kit:

      Make-up, stockings, hair pins, safety pins, clear nail polish, comb, hair spray, tissues,       needle & thread (white), aspirins, band aid, toothpaste & brush, dental floss, mints.
